U P D A T E : A U G ’ 0 2
I
have to say that our first year of marriage has been interesting.
If you read Chris' note, you'll understand.
It's sure makes me appreciate all that life has to offer. It's amazing
that we were able to have both of his grandmothers attend our wedding,
and yet loose both of them shortly after. We were very blessed!
What else is going on a year later?
My design business has been keeping me busy. I don't seem to have
much free time right now. As one project comes to a close, another
one starts. But I enjoy design, and the ability to do both print
and web has made it quite the challenge. Just think, I've not only
been doing graphic design for over 12 years, but I have been designing
for the Web since early 1996 (which some consider"old school").
Wow! I have to constantly educate myself on the latest software
and trade tools.
Other exciting things in our life… SweetPea,
our seven year old cat had to go to the vet twice this year because
a neighbor's mean male (recently neutered) cat attacked her. The
first time, she had a sore face (due to a cat's nail in the gum
line) so we had to take her to the vet. That wasn't as bad as the
second time. We heard a cat fight outside, so Chris went outside
and broke up the fight. Again, SweetPea was injured (puncture wound
in the thigh) and we again took her to the vet. It was after normal
hours, and we ended up spending a lot of money, but she's worth
it! I even had to get a tetanus shot because she accidentally bit
me thinking I was the other cat! She also had to be "quarantined"
because of it. A real pain in the butt! So now she has a curfew
and stays in at night and holidays.
Well, as time goes by, it seem like we've been married a lot longer
than a year, but then again, it seems like just last week I walked
down the aisle to marry Chris. Every day I love him more and every
day I am glad that we have found each other. I would do anything
to fill his life with happiness, and I know he would do the same.
That's what it is all about.
I am lucky to have a wonderful husband! Happy Anniversary Baby!
PS. I am sorry to say, shortly after writing this update, my close
friend and bridesmaid, Allyson Still
passed away. It was a complete shock to us, and we are still sad
and dazed. It's only been a short time, and I miss her greatly.
