At the company's final Holiday party on December
8, 2000, Chris was handed the mic and stood in front of nearly 200
people to make a speech on behalf of his department. He mentioned
that the best thing about working for the company was the opportunity
to have met Darcy, with that he asked Darcy to stand as he dropped
to one knee and proposed to her. With tears of joy, she accepted,
and they toasted the moment with Champagne.
